Never Touch with Bare Hands
Dry ice is -78.5°C (-109.3°F). Direct skin contact can cause severe cryogenic frostbite within seconds. Always handle with insulated cryogenic gloves, tongs, or thick towels.
Never Store in Airtight / Sealed Containers
As dry ice sublimates into carbon dioxide gas, it expands approximately 800 times in volume. Sealed glass jars or airtight flasks will build extreme pressure and burst. Always use vented insulated containers.
Ensure Ample Room Ventilation
